Giving back and helping others increase their quality of life is in Jo Rosen’s DNA. As the Founder and President of Parkinson’s Resource Organization Jo spends every day serving others in need, those dealing with Parkinson’s, as well as their families and caregivers. Christmastime is no exception. On Christmas Day she takes off her “presidential” hat, and puts on her apron, opening her heart, hospitality and home to service men and women for a very personal, home style holiday dinner.

Many are far away from home and family and truly enjoy a day of relaxation and appreciation PLUS a great home cooked meal. This year six Corpsmen from the 29 Palms Marine Base celebrated Christmas day with Jo. The servicemen, all part of the on-base hospital, all have family at least 1,000 miles away, according to Corpsman Allan Ly, one of the six servicemen spending Christmas at the Rosen home.

The day included a full holiday dinner, and a stream of Rosen’s neighbors, all wishing to thank the young men for their service. We all should be so generous and open hearted! HAPPY NEW YEAR to the Parkinson’s Resource Organization team and THANK YOU to our Troops around the world.
