Meet The PRO Team: Dana Rascon

Category: Newsworthy Notes

It’s the people behind the scenes at PRO that makes us the special resource organization that we are. This month, meet Dana Rascon.

1. Describe your role with PRO.

I volunteer on Thursday mornings in the office and assist with offsite events. My work includes computer projects, filing, answering phones, and assisting with special projects as needed. My goal is to support Executive Director Eileen Lynch and Operations Manager Michelle White in whatever capacity I can to help lighten their workload so they can continue focusing on assisting PRO’s constituents and care partners.

2. What inspired you to come work with PRO?

I’ve lived in The Coachella Valley for 35 years and have spent much of that time volunteering with various local organizations. My dad ultimately inspired me to become involved with PRO. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Dystonia in 2010, which came as a shock to our family because he had always been such a healthy, active person. I wanted to be a part of something that hit closer to home; something that I had a personal connection to.

3. What is a fun fact about you?

I enjoy watching baseball, listening to music, exploring the world of wine, and traveling abroad — a love of travel inspired by my dad. My next big adventure is Ireland, and I’m very excited to experience its history, culture, and beautiful scenery.
