MEET THE PRO TEAM: FRANK KENNY

Category: Newsworthy Notes

It’s the people behind the scenes at PRO that makes us the special resource organization that we are. This month, meet Frank Kenny.

1. Describe your role with PRO.

As a recent volunteer with PRO, I hope to make a contribution to its Mission through administrative support.

I have been a resident of Coachella Valley since 2002 and have volunteered for a number of local organizations including College of the Desert, Riverside County Sheriff, FIND Food Bank, among others. The experience I have gained during my working career as well as volunteering will help me assist PRO in supporting the Parkinson’s Community.

2. What inspired you to come work with PRO?

In early 2026, a close family member of mine was diagnosed with a neuro-degenerative disease and I wanted to understand more about these conditions and to learn about advances in medication and therapy that are helping people suffering from this to live productive lives.

3. What is a fun fact about you?

My wife Lea is from Chicago and I’m from Buffalo, NY. We met at a bus stop in San Francisco and married soon after. Whenever we are tempted to complain about the summer heat here in the desert, we recall our younger days in the seasonal rain, snow, and ice...and we realize that a little warm weather isn’t so bad after all.
