MEET THE PRO TEAM-JOHN MASON

It’s the people behind the scenes at PRO that makes us the special resource organization that we are. This month, meet John Mason.

1. Describe your role with PRO.

I’m a member of the Board of Directors and serve on the marketing committee. I also help with event planning and work to increase awareness of PRO throughout the Los Angeles area. A big part of what I do is helping share our mission and connect more people to the resources and support we provide.

2. What inspired you to come work with PRO?

I led a PRO support group in the San Fernando Valley for nearly 10 years, and during that time I saw firsthand how much the organization means to people living with Parkinson’s. PRO fills many important gaps in care and support. When I was invited to join the board, it was an immediate yes — I was honored to become more involved.

3. What is a fun fact about you?

I play electric guitar in a dad band called Grey Thunder. I love music and enjoy playing classic rock and 80s tunes with a group of fellow dads. It’s one of the most fun things I do.
