It’s the people behind the scenes at PRO that makes us the special resource organization that we are. This month, meet Neil Friedman

1. Describe your role with PRO.

I became a member of the Board of Directors four years ago. My role is to support

PRO’s mission. I do whatever it takes to raise funds to support the Parkinson’s community through education, advocacy, and providing comfort to those affected by Parkinson’s.

2. What inspired you to come work with PRO?

My late wife Sharon was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 13 years ago. She passed away on January 14, 2025. Throughout her journey with Parkinson’s, I felt a passion to do whatever was in my power to provide her comfort and love. I felt compelled to educate myself and become involved with PRO.

3. What is a fun fact about you?

I am kind and have a passion to meet people and learn about their lives and make them feel good about themselves.
