MEET THE PRO TEAM: ROBERT BLANCO

It’s the people behind the scenes at PRO that makes us the special resource organization that we are. This month, meet Robert Blanco.

1. Describe your role with PRO.

As Operations Manager, I help ensure PRO's day-to-day operations run smoothly so our team can focus on supporting individuals and families impacted by Parkinson's. My role spans a variety of areas, including operations, finance, technology, donor and member data, and organizational systems.

I enjoy finding ways to improve efficiency, strengthen our processes, and build the infrastructure that supports PRO's continued growth. Every improvement behind the scenes helps our team spend more time providing services to the Parkinson’s community.

2. What inspired you to come work with PRO?

What drew me to PRO was its mission and the genuine passion of the people behind it. Throughout the interview process, it was clear that everyone shared a deep commitment to improving the lives of people living with Parkinson's and their care partners.

I was especially inspired by PRO's incredible growth and the opportunity to help build the systems and processes that will support its next chapter. It's exciting to be part of an organization that is making such a meaningful difference throughout the Coachella Valley, and beyond.

3. What is a fun fact about you?

My husband, Dustin, and I relocated to Palm Desert nearly five years ago after spending most of our lives in the Pacific Northwest. We enjoy discovering everything the desert has to offer, from local restaurants and community events to beautiful desert scenic settings, along with spending time with our two cats, Bastian and Jiji, who graciously tolerate sharing their home with us.

I'm also an avid home cook and I am always looking for an excuse to gather family and friends around the table for a great meal.
