MEET THE PRO TEAM-SHON TOMLIN

It’s the people behind the scenes at PRO that makes us the special resource organization that we are. This month, meet Shon Tomlin

Shon Tomlin, PRO Board Co-Chair

1. Describe your role with PRO.

I began volunteering as an executive consultant to the President in 2020, providing help wherever I could. I then officially joined the Board of Directors in 2023 and now serve as Board Co-Chair along with John White. My role today focuses on supporting our Executive Director and the Board with everything from branding, strategy and operations, to marketing and “big ideas.”

2. What inspired you to come work with PRO?

I lost my stepfather to Parkinson’s and had come into contact with PRO in 2020. I was so moved at how PRO walks the walk, and talks the talk – as the saying goes. It’s an organization with so much heart and compassion and a network of some of the best experts in the world. It’s a group that truly delivers on its mission of ensuring that no one is isolated because of Parkinson’s. 

3. What is a fun fact about you?

I was a competitive figure skater for most of my childhood and was a performer in Charles M. Schulz’s Snoopy Ice Shows from age 8-16. As a result, I am terrible at stick and ball sports!
