President's Message (May 2022)

Category: Message From The President

MAY you always be the happiest person you can be through the breezes and tides; May carries with it a second chance. The month of May has the energy to help us reach our goals and our hearts desires again.

A memorial wall is a wall typically engraved to commemorate a number of people with something in common (e.g., from one country or one place killed in a single conflict, a violent event, or disaster, often with names). In our case, the Parkinson’s Memorial Wall is about people who died with the common thread of having had Parkinson’s or a Parkinsonism. See more.

We’re excited to share: UPDATE ON THE ROAD TO THE CURE, and then some fascinating articles including some from our wonderful Wellness Villagers, like; WHAT IS IMAGE GUIDED PROGRAMMING?; PRO ON THE MOVE RECAP; LSVT BIG THERAPY PROGRAM; DOWNSIZING & MOVING: The Post-Pandemic Marketplace; DOPAMINE SUPPLEMENTS TO BOOST YOUR MOOD: Part 1 on page 6, and; giggle with our BITS AND PIECES.

Our meeting registrations and donation processes continually get much easier through our registration and donation portals on the website. In addition to donating, join us in becoming a key part of our advocacy efforts. Contact us to “Get Involved” at Without YOU, we could never do all that we do.

Until next month, REMEMBER May Day on the 1st, Cinco de Mayo on the 5th, Mother’s Day on the 8th, Armed Forces Day on the 21st, and Memorial Day on the 30th. The flowers are Lily of the Valley and Hawthorn, and the Birthstone is the Emerald.
