PRO OUT AND ABOUT: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Category:On Wednesday, August 27th PRO was honored to be the charity of choice for Markers Broadcasting’s Wine Down Wednesday at Catalan Mediterranean restaurant. Over 150 guests, constituents, and community supporters enjoyed wine by Masvino from La Fe Wine Bar and delicious tapas from Catalan. The Catalan restaurant staff were so kind and generous with our constituents — when the parking lot filled up, they started running an unofficial valet service since many of our supporters have mobility challenges.
Thank you to all that attended and all who donated auction prizes. We are pleased to report we had triple the attendance expected, way to go PRO community! These are the events that sustain us. It's not just the money raised (although we're a small nonprofit, it really helps). It's the energy and the community support. A special thank you to Indio Rotary Club for inviting PRO to be their key-note speaker last month. Pictured is Brianna Miller from Voices for Children and our Executive Director Eileen Lynch. We appreciate all Rotarians dedicated to bettering our community and passion for service above self.
That’s not all...last month Eileen also spoke at Segovia – Palm Desert, Sun City Shadow Hills, and to the C.A.R.E Program (curtailing abuse related to the elderly). Do you belong to a community group? PRO would love to share all of the free programing and resources we offer.
Coming up in September: Magic at the Biltmore on September 20th in Los Angeles. Tickets are selling fast at parkinsonsresource.org.
