PRO OUT AND ABOUT: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT-DECEMBER 2025
Category: Newsworthy NotesNovember was a month of connection, visibility, and community impact for PRO, as staff members engaged in a series of high-profile and community events across the Coachella Valley.
The month kicked off on November 1 at The Living Healthy Expo in Cathedral City, the region’s premier health and wellness gathering. In partnership with Desert Oasis Health Care and The Gulf California Broadcast Company, the expo brought together health-focused organizations to educate and support attendees seeking trusted community resources.
On November 7, Executive Director Eileen Lynch attended the 19th National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa, where outstanding philanthropists, volunteers, and nonprofit professionals were honored for their contributions to strengthening the Valley’s charitable landscape.
The team returned to Agua Caliente on November 13 for the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Business Expo and Job Fair, featuring more than 100 exhibitors. This energetic event offered valuable networking opportunities and showcased the region’s thriving business and nonprofit sectors.
A highlight of the month came on November 16 with the 7th Annual Don Cavanaugh Day at Blue Coyote Grill in Palm Springs. Guests enjoyed signature margaritas and award-winning Mexican cuisine, with a portion of the day’s proceeds supporting PRO’s free programs for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers. A heartfelt thank you to all who attended.
On November 18, PRO participated in two simultaneous important events… The Riverside County In Home Supportive Services Caregiver Appreciation fair and Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern California’s resource fair.
The month’s events concluded on November 19 at the La Quinta State of the City and Business Awards, celebrating local economic growth and recognizing leaders shaping the community’s future.
All combined, these events strengthened PRO’s community partnerships, expanded outreach, and reinforced our commitment to ensuring that people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers receive the support, recognition, and resources they need and deserve.
