PRO OUT AND ABOUT: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT- JANUARY 2026
Category: Newsworthy NotesDecember was a vibrant month of visibility, connection, and community-building for PRO, as our team engaged in events across the Coachella Valley to strengthen relationships, expand awareness, and celebrate the spirit of the season.
On December 11, PRO hosted one of our most joyful traditions: the Jingle and Mingle Holiday Party. Held outdoors in the upstairs courtyard of our office, the celebration welcomed constituents, community friends, business partners, volunteers, and Board Members. With delicious food, beer, and wine donated by Caleo Bay, music, and a lively raffle, the event was filled with laughter, warm conversations, and heartfelt gratitude. It was a beautiful way to honor the people who make our mission possible and to celebrate another year dedicated to ensuring no one is isolated because of Parkinson’s.
Earlier in the month, Executive Director Eileen Lynch attended the City of Palm Springs State of the City at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The event brought together Mayor Ron deHarte, the City Council, local nonprofits, and civic leaders and focused on reflecting on the city’s achievements over the past year while looking ahead to an ambitious 2026.
PRO also celebrated the season at the Palm Desert Area Chamber’s Holiday Mixer at La Fe Wine Bar. This cheerful after-hours gathering encouraged attendees to meet new connections while enjoying light refreshments, festive attire, and a toy drive benefiting the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. The mixer fostered new relationships and strengthened PRO’s ties to the business community—an essential foundation for expanding our reach and impact.
Throughout the month, PRO staff also attended additional mixers and networking events, continually expanding our connections and strengthening our presence across the region.
Overall, December reminded us of the power of community and how much we can accomplish when we show up for one another.
