PRO OUT AND ABOUT: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT-OCTOBER 2025
Category:PRO has been actively representing the Parkinson’s community at key events across the Coachella Valley, strengthening our connections with local leaders, businesses, and our beloved constituents. At the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce’s Coachella Valley Legislative Breakfast, we joined over 50 business leaders for a morning of networking and learning. The gathering provided an opportunity to highlight the needs of people with Parkinson’s within the broader conversations about policy, community development, and economic growth. Similarly, at the 2025 All Valley Mayors and Tribal Chairpersons Luncheon, PRO had a seat in the room with some of the most influential decision-makers in our region.
We also celebrated community spirit and visibility at events like the Annual Business Expo & Taste of Palm Springs, where we connected with hundreds of attendees while showcasing PRO’s mission alongside over 100 local businesses and organizations. Our presence at the Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce “Show Your Heart” Mixer was another chance to spotlight nonprofit collaboration, reminding the community that PRO is part of the fabric of care in the Valley. Beyond networking, PRO has also been deepening our direct engagement: “Magic at the Biltmore” starring David Minkin, a fundraiser blending entertainment with impact, gave guests a fun and memorable way to support our mission. Meanwhile, we celebrated a milestone with the first in-person Palm Springs support group at the Mizell Center, where people with Parkinson’s and their care partners came together in a safe, compassionate space to share, learn, and build resilience. PRO’s Executive Director Eileen Lynch also reached seniors directly with a presentation at Stonwall Gardens Assisted Living, ensuring residents could access resources and information about Parkinson’s. Each of these touchpoints reflects PRO’s commitment to being present, connected, and impactful—whether in front of policymakers, business leaders, donors, or families living with Parkinson’s.
